Understanding and Application of ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
This is a six hour online CPD event and includes full course notes, reflective log and exercise sheets and issue of a CPD Certificate for six hours CPD
This workshop looks at the core theory and application of one of the third wave CBT models which has been shown to be highly effective in a range of therapeutic interventions. Originally developed in the late 1980’s by Steven Hayes and colleagues Acceptance and Commitment therapy has since developed into a broad therapeutic treatment with a range of effective and versatile techniques to help clients across a range of mental health issues.
We will look at the core principles which underpin ACT together with a range of techniques which can be applied in therapy regardless of your particular core modality.
