CIM Programme Module Two - Dealing with Controlling / Intimidating and Manipulative personalities in Intimate and Family Relationships

Developing skills and understanding of highly controlling, often intimidating and most definitely manipulative behaviour within intimate and close family relationships which are so often more difficult to manage or remove oneself from. This programme will give essential understanding and guidance to an ever growing problem.

The programme is of benefit to practitioner in a wide range of health and social care positions as well as counsellors and therapists. 

Key objectives for this workshop

• Define CIM, Dark Personality and Antagonistic Personality style
• Understand healthy & toxic relationships and the basics of coercive control.
• Understanding the Stages of a Pathological Love Relationship and the DARVO model and its impact.
• Explain why we are pulled into toxic relationships and why we become stuck and bonded with a CIM.
• Understanding of Intra and Interpersonal techniques to manage CIM behaviour and interactions.
• Explain and develop the importance of The Self and Identity which are so often lost in an intimate CIM relationship.
